SJCP Celebrates Vocations at our Catholic Schools Week Mass

On Wednesday of Catholic Schools Week, we celebrated Vocations during our Catholic Schools Week Mass.  Seminarian Jack from Mount St. Mary's Seminary and Sister Teresa Daly of the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul both shared their stories behind discerning their vocations. Seminarian Jack asked everyone to cultivate silence, time, and vulnerability to give God the space to speak to us, while Sister Teresa spoke of her vocation to serve the poor working in a homeless center in Baltimore. FOCE Executive Director Michele Corr announced the SJCP teacher of the year, Mrs. Ann Coughlin. Ann will be celebrated at the FOCE Teaching Award of Excellence dinner along with other teachers from Catholic schools in Frederick County. We also recognized years of service to SJCP faculty & staff, Mr. Ross for 20 years; Mr. Rousculp and Mr. Clarence Ambush for 10 years; and Sra. Rubino, Ms. Tregoning, Mr. Wilson, Ms. Stevens, and Mr. Knotek with 5 years. Congratulations and thank you to Father Javier for joining Father Mike today in celebrating Mass.
